Objectives:

To understand the history, theory, evaluation, and application of Counterstrain Technique
applied to the cervical spine in the client complaining of neck pain. |
| 2. |
To understand the history, theory, evaluation, and application of Facilitated Positional
Release Technique applied to the cervical spine in the client complaining of neck
pain. |
| 3. |
To understand the neurophysiology of reflexes involved in musculoskeletal dysfunction
and treatment in the client complaining of neck pain as it pertains to Counterstrain
Technique and Facilitated Positional Release Technique. |
| 4. |
To understand the role of fascia with regard to gravity and compensation as it pertians
to traumatic injury. |
| 5. |
To differentiate between tender points (aka, Jones Tender Points) versus trigger
points (Travel’s Trigger Points). |
| 6. |
To understand the role of nerve distribution patterns described by homunculi, dermatomes,
myotomes, & sclerotomes with regard to musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. |
